How to Play Mancala
1. Setting Up the Game
- Mancala is played on a board with 12 small holes (pits) and two large holes (Mancalas), one for each player.
- Each player has six pits in front of them and their own Mancala on their right.
- At the start of the game, place four stones in each of the 12 small pits.
2. Objective
- The goal is to collect more stones in your Mancala than your opponent by the end of the game.
3. Taking Turns
- Players take turns picking up all the stones from one of their six pits.
- Move counterclockwise, placing one stone in each pit you pass, including your Mancala but skipping your opponent’s Mancala.
- If your last stone lands in your Mancala, you earn another turn.
- If your last stone lands in an empty pit on your side and there are stones in the opposite pit, you capture all stones from the opposite pit and place them in your Mancala.
4. Ending the Game
- The game ends when one player has no stones left in their pits.
- The other player collects all remaining stones from their side and adds them to their Mancala.
